Default Joining 2 bodies together on 74 Convertible

Hi gents,

My son and I are knee deep an a project car(s). We have 2 1974 white convertibles that each have there own strong points enough that we think we can make one good car out of them. One had a shed fall on the front end damaging up to and including the firewall, the other was hit in the rear. We would like any thoughts on the best way to join them together.

Right now we are looking at:
1. Cutting the complete back somewhere between the front seat mounting bolts.

2. De-bonding the rear shell pieces and regluing, leaving the bird cage intact.

3. Any idea, suggestion or methods you guys could let us in on.

Thanks a bunch, we have already learned a lot from this site.

it has all been done before, i did it a few times. ou really have to see it first hand to tell for sure. it would be easier to keep it in shape if you don't cut the birdcage. check the windshield frame if you can. if its solid hopefully you won't have that to deal with
