Default Bloody Power Steering belt!

It's a really LONG story (involving needing to find TDC of #1) which has resulted in me needing to get some slack in the PS belt so I can re-install the fan pulley and fan (so I can see if I got the distrib back in correctly). You would have had to have been here....

Anyway, where are the bloody adjustment/mounting bolts and do I need to get at them from underneath or are they accessible from above?

Thanks
John

BB..... sorry I didn't mention that.

I have the alternator loose, which took 30 sec. I cant even see where the PS unit bolts are, much less how to get to them.

Might have to access it from under the vehicle.

there's two brackets involved. one bolted to the front of the engine by the damper wheel has the pivot bolt that must be loosened. the adjustment bolt for the alt and p/s pump is on a bracket that bolts to the front of the head and the forward exhaust manifold bolt and another spot no one has ever seen. i attack (and i do mean attack) both from the bottom. the guy that designed this set-up should be sent to siberia.
