Fuel injection ? ? Who has it
Any one running fuel injection ?
What system are you using ? How do you like it over the carb you use to have ?
Thanks

Nice system , pricey but being MPI it looks relatively easy to install .. How was the under hood appearance ? was it cluttered or looking like a spider web

If you want cheaper while still having a little Carb style look then get a GM big block throttle body unit. Control it with mega/Microsquirt system.
Thats the cheapest you can go and still have a carb look since you use the round air cleaner. Not as good as multi-port but still get the easy start and drivability of F/I.

I do not mind a non-carb look at all . Matter of fact for TBI their are a lot of choices. But i am not convinced a TBI is worth 2 to 3 k investment .. Be nice if any people with the fast or equivalent systems piped in

You can do TBI for less than $1000. Its not plug and play like the $2-3000 kits but thats why you save money.
I found a good deal on a MP unit. I'll install it and control with a microsquirt. If not for that I still would run a TBI system.

there is a new system that you can use an LS style CPU and run whatever type of FI you want, MPI, TPI, TBI. it uses factory GM crank positioning sensor with the factory timing cover. also you have to run a TBI distributer one similar to a Vortec mid 90's truck.

You have a link for that? Sounds intresting.

Once you go to fuel injection you will never go back to a carb. FI has it all over a carb in everything but the cost. Yes it is a little pricey but the driveability and performance of it far out weighs the cost. I went to a Mass Flo system a few years ago and was very pleased with it. I now run an LS3 with Fuel injection. I sold all my carb stuff.

I went batch fire L98 back in '95 in my '72 with the stock L48 engine....about doubles the fuel economy, wish I had stayed with that engine, as it's replacement is not near as economical....even with the overdrive it has gained over the years....
so today it is a batch fire L98 system firing 24 lbs injectors with a HEI in back on a highly modified LT1 intake manifold....
thinking of 21 lbs injectors....try to lean it out a bit.....

I put this setup on my 80 a while ago -(the same year the LS1 came out)
EMS computer http://www.emsefi.com/emsefi/index.p...gement-systems
TPIS Miniram, Bosch fuel pump, custom injectors, BBK T-body, 6AL ignition.
Only problem i've had since install was a faulty fuel pump.
Now I want more cubes & gas

Major difference: All around better everyday drivability and reliability; better fuel mileage.
FAST doesn't consider the EZ-EFI to be a TBI system because the injectors are under the throttle blades, as opposed to above them in the typical TBI system. It is sort of a hybrid TBI/Multiport system.

I am putting a fuel injected LS3 in the corvette and just ordered a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 for my Chevelle. I'm officially done with carbs too!
Can't wait to have both done!

I'm running the EZ EFI Retro-fit kit on my 68...this kit includes the computer and wiring harness for use on different intakes in case you want to use something other than the intakes FAST offers

I'm using this kit on a TPIS Miniram intake, before I acquired the Miniram I used this EFI system on an LT1 intake converted for use on a Gen 1 motor
