HEI cutting radio sound off
I put a KHE radio in my 72. It has a tach drive HEI in it with no shielding. When I drive the car the radio sound cuts off. Sometimes it comes back on and sometimes I have to cut the switch off and then it comes back on. The radio appears to still be on but no sound. I can get it to do it by reving the engine to about 3k. Any advise?

check your connections, the HEI should not have anything to do with it. Does the radio require a separate ground?

It's the HEI. I can rev the engine and Make it do it. I checked every thing else before. I was told by KHE to ground it the sane place as the dizzy that it might help. I ran a ground to the block and it didn't help.
