Default Speedometer gear 68

I am looking for the correct speedometer gear for my 68 427 4 speed, 3:36 stock tires. Is there a chart that will tell me color of gear and # of teeth?
Thanks
Chuck

Default Speedometer gear 68

I did some more research. My car has a blue 20 tooth gear as it should be per a calculation on web site. Problem is the car reads 70 MPH when I think I am going ~40.

I have no idea if this will help, but I've found that a 1 tooth change is worth approx. 5mph. (I.E. In my case, Speedo reading = 60, actual = 65; needed to go DOWN 1 tooth less). In your case, I believe there is something else wrong 'cause a 26 tooth gear is a little unusual, but who knows? BTW, the easiest way to check the speedometer is with a GPS. Have a great day, Bill
