Default Weiand 8000 vs 7525

Hey guys. Looking for an opinion. I`m currently running a qjet 383 with a weiand 8000 which looks like a spreadbore version of the old stealth. Car runs hard, and idles nicely with good low end, but wondering if switching to a weiand 7525 (which I have in the garage) will be a better intake overall for performance. It's the old low profile single plane that David Vizard seems to really like.

My only concern is perhaps diminished idle quality, and lack of vacuum for power brakes with the weiand 7525.

Any thoughts?

Engine combo:
383
RHS 200cc aluminum heads
Comp 286HR - 230/230 @ .050 - .560" lift
Weiand 8000 dual plane intake
qjet
Hedman shorties

Why wouldn't you have vacuum for power brakes with the 7525?

Dual plane is better throttle and fuller rpm range than a single plane. Good for high RPM operation, poor fuel atomization at lower rpm, I'd stick with the 8000.

I always thought single planes don't make as much vacuum at low rpm...like a long duration cam. Maybe I'm misinformed....never tried a single plane before.

Hands down best intake ever is the LT1, Z/28 intake, dual plane hi rise, it is what Holley, Weiand, Edlebrock have all copied and tried to improve on over the years.

I ran the 7525 on mine for a few weeks. No issues w/ the brakes, just slight hang in off idle throttle response. Went to a ZZ4 intake after that.
