Please Help Me Save Another Survivor Car
Please help me to save 1 more survivor car from 1 more step closer to just another vette.
My mechanic can't find a re-build kit for a Frigidaire A6 Compressor and wants to put an aftermarket or rebuilt compressor in my 70.
A local AC Shop used to stock them but his mechanic retired so he quit stocking the parts or rebuilding them.
My carb and radiator have previously been replaced with aftermarket components and I must stop this decline.
I believe I can reverse the radiator and carb situation but I'm running into a stone wall on the re-build kit for the AC.
I'd love to call the mechanic Monday and tell him I have a re-build kit on it's way.
I suppose I could send the compressor somewhere else but my mechanic is willing and capable of the work.
Any help or leads appreciated.
Thanks!

Did you try NAPA?
I assume you tried all of the major Corvette vendors..you might want to go to Carlisle this coming Thurs -Sunday. Every major dealer, swap meet guys will be there. You might even pick up a decent compressor...

Napa has a rebuilt compressor for about $240 and the mechanic had it delivered Friday but I was hoping to save mine and send it back. Thanks! Busy week ahead and Carlisle is too far for me right now.
