Default Advice sought on monospring V2.0

I installed a monospring...VBP I believe (EDIT: Nope, it was a TRW) , but I don't recall what the spec was ...it was used , and perhaps I know why) and it raised the rear of my Vette about 3". I tried the longer bolts, but that only marginally helped.

I'd like to buy another monospring and I'd like one that allows my 74 454 to sit normally and work well with spirited street driving.

Anyone have firsthand recommendations of what I should purchase? The car has a 4 speed and posi if that makes any difference.

Thanks
John

I don't have a 454 but I went with the 320# spring, vbp was reall good about helping me select the spring for my application. If you do call them, make sure to use your c.f. member discount. Good luck on your project. Blue

Are you sure it's VBP? One of the reasons I chose a VBP spring was all the online complaints about ride height directed at other manufacturers. I ended up with the VBP 330# composite spring and I'm very happy with it.

How spirited? I should have ask before ordering VB&P 420#, but they make to order mono springs. I'm getting the 500+ pound.

I have stock length bolts and I had to crank it up a little to keep some tire clearance

Default Not VBP but TRW LS1003 (340 rate)

Probably more spirited straight line than anything else.

It was not VBP but my next one may be.

I'll try and get a moment to call them next week and ask their advice. I was really bummed to install this one (TRW) and get the Dukes of Hazard stance.

Thanks
John

I called the nice folks at VBP and was helped very professionally towards the #360, which I hope will be here tomorrow or Friday, in time for some quality wrenching time.

Thanks for the input!
John
