Fuel injection under a stock 73 hood?
Anyone install a fuel injection that fits under the 73 stock hood that they like? Will be going on a 383 stroker. Still not sure if I will go spread bore carb, or FI. Appreciate any experience, thanks guys.

I'm thinking of using a FAST control system with the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT intake
I took some measurements last year and I believe this intake will clear although I'll need to verify the throttle body and linkage.

Not running the LT1 intake anymore, I am currently using a TPIS Miniram intake along with the FAST EZ EFI....pros and cons to using EFI, but I'm glad I went this route and would do it again. Many here on the Forum are using the FAST system as well as other systems, so if you have any questions just ask

The filter is a K&N, the air intake I made myself.
I keep saying I'm gonna do a write-up on it, but have had too much going on and no time to be able to sit down and concentrate on doing a good legible write-up...guess I need to MAKE time

But I think its worth it from a drive-ability standpoint. Better cold starts, better throttle response, can fine tune throughout the rpm range, lower emissions, no gas smell in the garage. If I pick up some fuel efficiency, that's a bonus.
It's also worth it to me from an experience standpoint. I get to learn something new while enjoying my hobby.

Yea I'm going to go multi-port at sometime and run a microsquirt.
If you want simple then buy a full F/I kit.
If you want cheap get a Big block TBI unit and a Microsquirt to control it. You can get a plate to make the GM TBI bolt to any Carb intake manifold.

I used a Holley commander 950 set up on mycar with a TBI and a carb manifold, so If the hood clearance is the same between 73 and 79 you can do like I did.

Thanks for the input guys! Anyone else, still uncertain between carb, and F.I..Hate this indecision! Want to do it right the first time. What about the fuel pumo in the gas tank?
