Well, she final hit the Dyno this morning.... first took her through a canyon run for about and hour and worked her hard then straight up on the Dyno...

I will post the results in a few days... after a few votes....

Below are videos, click on the for the run....

engine in a nut shell: 427 sbc, AFR 220 competition ported heads, AFR titian intake, Chris strub cam, EZ EFI 2.0 FI, 1 7/8" Kooks headers, 3" X-pipe borla exhaust, and every other whizz-bang i could think of putting in her... :-)

TKO 600 manuel transmission, McCloud twin disk clutch.

Dyno-Jet 2000

Should be good for 600 crank hp or so...(depending on the cam)

Stick or auto?

If its a stick, I'd say 450-475hp....
Auto, 400-425 unlocked.

This ^^^ is on a DJ248 dyno..

You have the estimated drive train loss, also loses from exhaust restrictions...Lastly the parasitics from the accessories...

Drivetrain losses will vary due to the IRS components... A 12 bolt IRS is gonna eat up a lot more power then a Dana 44.

With a stick, average 3" exhaust and no mechanical fan, I'd guess-ta-mate 20% diff from crank to wheel hp. No scientific data to back it..

But I have engine dynoed mine and chasis dynoed it and I was over 30% loss with the auto/converter/heavy IRS parts.

I Know that every thing has varibles, but motorhead pulled his enging to settle a forum dispute and came up with 21% through a manual gear box. I've heard that up to 30% through an automatic dependant on type.

Paul.....I think you will have a VERY expensive tire bill every month!!

I LIKE IT! Good Job!!

Now...we see what the hard numbers are....and you have blown away the expectations....Im looking for some driveability perceptions.

How is it to DRIVE?

1}The flow numbers for the heads intake / exhaust.

2) The exact compression ratio.

3)Exact cam specs.

3) And what numbers we will be looking at whether STP correction factor or raw data.

These are questions anyone needs for a good educated estimate

4) One last thing,,,,,,what RWHP did it make,,,,Only kidding

Trying to see the video, my mainframe has been done for a month and working on a 15 year old laptop
