Default Poll, Vacuum to electric new way

Wow this thread is still going strong

How many have done this mod.
Is it to hard to do or was it easy for you.
Would you like a similar wiper mod.

Thankyou

Can't speak as to how many have done it, but I've shipped probably 4 dozen pairs of the brackets

I thought it was easy...but my frame of reference is putting a V12 in a C3.

I had a couple dozen members contact me re the mod. Most were interested in how and where to wire. A harness plugging into the headlights would be the trick in simplifying the installation.

My thoughts on how to wire w/o going back to the headlight switch would be this-

Wiper mod- will be no where near as popular.

Only on chrome bumper cars...the chrome guys (and gals) are more likely to be sticking w/ stock...and the custom owners are just going w/ long hoods and eliminating it all together.

I messing w/ a small power seat motor running an acme thread to move the linkage. A lot smaller than the linear actuator that I've seen several use...but requires limit switches.

I did the headlight mod using Mazda Miata motors, which are almost exactly the same as the Probe motors, which are also made by Mazda.

This mod was very easy and cheap to do.

Would totally be into a similar wiper door mod.

Did the conversion using Probe motors and C4 switch...probably my favorite mod i have done to the car so far. The bracket diagrams make it much easier.
