Why does Dayco 15325 topcog belt not fit my 68 427 water pump to crank?
Trying to put it back the way it was suppose to be but I can't find a belt to fit....I may just leave it off at this point.

That's the belt I'm using on my 69. Have you changed a pulley or anything? You could take that belt and get one that is slightly longer too. No idler, belt in the rearmost groove on both the crank and the water pump. I know of one guy that left that belt off and every time he jumped on the go pedal the belts started squealing.

installing that belt without the use of two threaded rod studs is almost impossible.
cut two short threaded rods and screw them into the water pump..slip the belt over the crank pulley and the water pump pulley and slide the pulley over the two rods, insert the other two bolts, remove the threaded rods, insert the other two bolts and you're done...
