Default stock exhaust mani on vortec heads

does anyone know if the stock 73 exhaust maniflod will bolt up to a vortec headed small block.

I know headers would be better but right now just trying to make what I have on hand work.

later I would plan to go with side pipes

I dont think they will, i could be wrong, but iirc when you buy headers, there different for vortec heads.

I ran the same cheap headers on my stock and vortec heads. You will be fine. After all that work, why arent you switching to headers?

Default stock headers

I built three vortec head engines. Your wasting good horsepower with stock manifolds. Even cheap headers are better.

If the manifolds and pipe is there, run it till you get better. If you gotta get some pipe, just wait for some headers.

the racecar engine is a 355 vortech head motor, and cash is tight right now, but Iam just trying to put something together til things get back to normal. then I will probably put the engine back in the racecar and put the 454 in the vette.
