I am having the rear differential rebuilt on my 1972 Corvette next week. The trailing arm bushings look a little lame. How big a deal would it be to replace these at the same time?

Depending on the life the car has had, it might or might not be a chore to R&R the front mounting bolts. The front bushings usually last a long time in a moderate climate. Just a few surface cracks can often be safely ignored. If the bushing looks centered on the bolt, it's probably still OK. Replace them with the factory type rubber, if you must.
While the car is apart, loosen the nut that retains the trailing arm, snake a 5/8" wrench on the bolt head, and see if it turns. If you can turn the bolt without too much trouble, you will likely be able to remove it without too much drama. If it is frozen in place, you will need a Sawsall, plenty of time, and lots of swear words.

Replacing T-arm busings is not a bolt up job and requires tools to flare the bushing retainers. If the shop has done this type of service in the past, you should be okay.

If the shop does not have a clue about what they're doing, pass on it.
