Default Oil leak at temperature sensor

73 L82 4 spd. Oil is leaking around the temperature sensor on the passenger side. I have tightened it as best I can, but it still leaks. Before I remove and re-install, is there a gasket to install or should sealant be applied to the threads? Picture below. Thanks.

Are you sure it's oil? Should be coolant if it's leaking. I just use a couple wraps of teflon tape on them.

Or oil is leaking from the valve cover and spreading down to that area.

My brain fart. Oil is not coming from a "temperature" sensor. Valve covers needed a tightening. This will most likely solve the problem.
Thanks.
