Default Something is up with my temp gauge.

So a while after changing from my stock air cleaner to a new one, my temp gauge stopped working. I put in a new sensor today, still nothing. It does peak when I ground it using a test light though, as I have seen online.

I understand this could mean that it's not calibrated, is there a way to re-calibrate it? Any other troubleshooting I could do? I noticed one of my fuses is out, could that be the problem?

If it swings full scale when you ground and un-ground the wire, the gauge is good. Look at the connector or your new sender.

Sure that sender was for a gauge and not a light?

I'm not quite sure, it was the sender that the store I bought from recommended. I will admit it doesn't look exactly like the old sender I took out, I'll see if I can find a pic for it online.

By the connector, you are referring to the wire right?

Default Temp gauge help

Hi,

Read this form Willcox. There is a lot of info on their site for anything you might run into working on your vette.

Thanks! From all of this we've kind of gotten down that it must be the sending unit. fingers crossed that's all it is!
