Default Distributor re-install issue

This may be a dumb question but in reinstalling my distributor after removing intake and other parts for resto work, the shaft engages the oil pump just fine but the rotor has moved clock wise just a bit from where it was pointed prior to removal. It now points more to #4 than #8. Motor has not been cranked or anything. Can I use a long screw driver to rotate the oil pump slot? or is that possible? Just wanted to drop it back in versus going through TDC etc. Took photos before removal and it definitely has moved but fits just like it should.
Thanks for the advice.

Yes. you can rotate the oil pump shaft with a screwdriver to get your rotor to line up where you originally had it. Won't hurt a thing. That's usually what you have to do in order to get things to drop right in. Good luck!

Yes, you can turn the shaft with a long screwdriver.
