Default Front Caliper Bracket to spindle Torque spec

Looking for the torque spec for the upper, single bolt (the stubby one) that holds the caliper bracket onto the spindle. This is the bolt held with the tabs on the shield.

The AIM shows the entire spindle unit already assembled so no specs there.

The chassis manual doesn't seem to call out the top bolt, or at least not clearly

Haynes and Chiltons manuals don't mention it.

Here's the range I've found so far
25 ft-lbs to 140 ft-lbs

Anyone know the actual value that can be verified somewhere real?

VAN STEEL lists
Steering Arm to Spindle ................70.........3/4 Nuts (63-68, 11/16)
That's the two lower bolts, one of which also holds one end of the caliper bracket.

I'm wanting to say I did 35ft-lbs on that bolt. I don't recall where I may have come up with that (it's been a couple of years). I do know that I did it on my truck's tailgate by myself, so it couldn't be any real monster-torque amount.

Over on DC just got another vote for 60 to 80 ft. Lbs.

Since it one of only two bolts holding the caliper bracket on I would think it would be at least the 70 that the lower bolt uses ?

I'm rebuilding the front brakes on my '75 coupe. I removed the calipers and mounting brackets to clean/paint the front suspension. I was also unable to find torque info for the 3 bolts. Today I tightened the top large (15/16") bolt to 120#' and the lower bolts to 70#' each. My thoughts now are should I have used never-seize on the threads or thread-locker??? There didn't appear to be anything on the threads when I took them off?
any info appreciated...any referrals to reference documents would be a bonus.

Depends on if you'll be the guy that gets to take them apart next time

Personally, since both have locking devices (the tabs on the top bolt and the lock washers on the lower two) I used a dab of anti-seize.

As for the torque, general consensus seems to be 50-70 on the lower bolts and 90-120 on the upper.

I used 70 (chassis manual and Van-Steele) and 120 (no solid reference found)
