convert to dual exhaust 1977 c3? already has no cat
my 77 already had cat bypass and has hi flow targa mufflers. will i see any increase in torque/hp by going with true dual setup at this point? thanks, CR

I have a 77. As I recall, I converted an L-48 from 'test pipe' to duals in 79. I noticed that the car seemed more willing to rev but performance improvement wasn't overwelming. The car started waking up when I installed 4 into 1 headers. A Performer intake, some carb work and a distributor recurve came next and all helped immensely.
I now have a recammed L-31 engine converted to TPI and 700R4. iI is a quick, enjoyable street car.

I toss my question here as well (sorry for hijacking but we have enough daily new posts already) , I have a 79 L48 (heads, cam, intake, carb swapped) I have true dual setup, ceramic, short hugger headers no H or X pipe, two catalytic converters, and two dynomax "straight thu mufflers.
I can legally remove the catalytic cans since car is on Antique plates should I do so and what improvement can I expect, will the sound change?
