My Intro Pentia 18x12 and 18x10 rims came today--pics inside
Long over due, and after much worry and frustration, my wheels finally showed up today.
These are Intro Pentia 18x12 and 18x10 with Michilen Pilot Sports (same profile as a 2002 Viper). Front offset is 4.5", and rear is 5", with the L88 Style Flares.
I hope you like!
If you like what you see, go to www.hvydeez.com ask for Dave or Lynn, and let them know what you think.
Overall, for the fit, quality, price, etc, this things are a real value.
Hope to see you guys at Sharkfest this year. I am working hard to finish the car by then.

Are you coming to the st. augustine event this saturday 69Myway? Details are in the southeast events section. It would be cool to see those rims in person!

I can't make it with this car to St. Augustine this weekend. Although it runs, it is not road ready, and won't be until maybe first part of July. Thanks for reminding me about that though. I will catch it next time around.
Cost....well the basic rim kit was $2,600, plus $$$$ extra per rear rim for the 12" treatment, then the Michelin tires were about $1,500 more on top of that. Lots of cash, but not as much as Merlin spent on his. Keep an eye on Intro Custom rims. They are beginning to gain Nationwide respect. There are not many Vettes sporting these....yet!
Size---well since I flared the car my size is off the chart from a stock car. I felt like I needed the extra tire with the fuel injected big block, so the flare was a matter of neccesity. Form follows function in this case.
I do believe though you can do a 5" back space all the way around, and 10" rims on a stock bodied Vette and have a nice combo. Remember, you can always add a spacer and move the wheel away from the center of the car. So, if you are going to make a mistake on measurements, make it on the positive offset side. If you start out with too much negative backspace, you are stuck.
I lucked out here, and don't require any spacing.

That car is perfect looking!!!! Too bad they don't make new cars like that. I think there would be a market if that car were mass produced using old school technology.
