Stamped self aligning rockers max lift?
I am thinking of putting my vortec heads that are setup for .550 lift on my L48 motor, along with a performer rpm intake, holley 670 and a new cam. I didn't go to screw-in studs when I had the heads reworked, so it's still the stock studs.
What I am wondering is what the max lift is with something like these rockers? I read somewhere that they were long slot, but haven't been able to confirm that.

This is the description in the GM Performance Catalogue, no mention about long slot. Better off with a set from Competition Cams, exact 1.52 ratio as opposed to "nominal".
Rocker Arms
A. 12495490
Rocker Arm Kit, Steel, 1.5 Ratio (set of 16)
• Self-aligning, high-quality rockers have a nominal 1.5:1 ratio
• Includes 16 stamped steel rockers with pivot ***** and nuts
• Use P/N 10089648 for single service part; for 3/8" studs
NOTE: Not recommended for mechanical lifter camshafts.

yeah I did an image search and it's fairly clear from the pictures it's a standard slot.
And I agree on the Comp Cams rockers. I am thinking I may use the roller tip SA 1.52 rockers for this.

If the heads are still off the motor I would get screw in studs with that high lift for insurance, nothing more of a nuisance than studs pulling out of the heads once it's together
