Best way to install new shock mount bracket
Its a press tight fit between the mounts and the Tarm. Whats the best way to install it? Bang it in or just keep tightening the nut and let it press the whole thing in? So far a rubber mallet did nothing.

Since the neural are on the opposite side of the nut I like to tap them in a bit and get them started and then if I have an issue (and I've had this before), I'll tighten and tap, tighten and tap... vs. putting all the load on the nut and threads. A rubber mallet isn't going to get you anywhere on this and as long as you don't go ape on it you won't break the ear.
I have a regular nut that we use to then pull them in place and once in place I put the new nut castle nut on and tighten.

Tap, not bang.
