I lost track of this thread until now. Glad I found it again, as the wiring diagrams are a great help. (Thanks!!) I had planned on wiring them up just because it would be cool, but the reality of how much I have to get done on the car before spring made me decide to work on things that were necessary to drive it. Unfortunately, I just ran the wires through the doors for the windows and an extra line for powering remote locks. I am wondering if anyone has routed the wires through the rubber boot and how hard that is to do. Seems like it was pretty cramped in there with just what I had. Hope it can be done.
I like the looks of the mirrors on my car. As always it is subject to personal taste, but since my car is far from stock, I like it and it really does help see around the cars big butt.

First of all, I love what you've done to your Vette. The mirrors look great and anyone but a Corvette expert would think the car came with them.
I can probably squeeze four more small wires through the passenger side door boot but eight or ten more wires on the driver side door boot is going to be almost impossible. I suspect newer cars that have lots of electrical controls in the driver door have a larger conduit. I would check out my local junkyard but there are no local yards anymore. I did find a few options online. Jegs sells this 1/2" ID conduit but it would require grommets to work in the Corvette's 1-1/4" holes.

I found this one...
... at Summit Racing.

So I started this thread a long time ago, bought the mirrors and never installed them. Well today I finally started this project. I had my mirrors painted when I had to have some damage to the back of the car fixed. I got the drivers side mirror mounted. Here is a picture that shows the difference in the C6 mirror and the 77-82 style sport mirror.

How's the rear view?
I'm so glad this thread got a reply, it feels like Christmas already
I think it looks great! Could you upload a side and rear view photo? And how is the view now?

Not really. The original uses two mounting bolts and this one uses three. The hole for the wires (and connector) is also larger and not in line with any of the mounting holes.
Post 90, from Lil" Red Corvette shows how the new mirror covers the old holes -- the connector passes through the 6-point star hole:

I would think you should use the 3. Don't want the mirror flexing around and cracking the fiberglass. My old sport mirrors were mounted tightly when I had my car painted and there is still a little flex.

I am trying to order a set from Rock Auto and the GM1321412 is for right side. GM1320412 is the left side. They replied that I ordered 2 of same side and didn't tell me what side I ordered or what the part no for the other side is. Customer service isn't what it used to be.
