The 81 with the stripe is now a complete package (pic)
Finally got the wheels on today and thought I would share. Thanks smokd tires for the size recomendations, worked perfectly.

that does look sweet! :yesnod: turned out very well. i'll admit when you first started talking about that in my imagination, i wasn't that impressed with an '81 and L-88 hood but after seeing it...he11, yeah :D so now the question is: where did you get the hood?

that car looks very sharp. Thinking about a red C3 with a black stripe seems odd but it actually look very :cool:

Thanks guys, I am very pleased how the whole package worked out. It was difficult changing the stock appearance but my experience is that these cars don't get the respect they deserve. I just wanted to make it an eye opener.
To anwser a few questions the hood is from Ecklers. It is very solid but did require some latch modification to fit. I still dont have a hood prop as it must be modified as well. The tire size was recommended by forum member smokedtires ( I feel guilty for not remembering his real name).
The wheels are American TT2, 17x8 with 4" back space. The tires are 255x45x17. No spacers , no mods.
