plug wire routing, non original
Any pics of a neat way to rout and hold plug wires for my small block with and HEI tach drive with out any shielding at all. Ram horns but I will rout them from the top. Aluminum LT-1 valve covers

Yes Sir; You can use a set of 396 cubic in. plug wires, & route them over the top, but that will always look like crap in my opinion. Just spend the time & route them the factory way, even G. M. factory Delco wires last at least 75K miles if routed correctly. Have a great day. Gene

I've run the big block 135 boots over the v/c's cause the 90 degrees across the v/c's were to close to the exhaust manifolds and the straight boots were rubbing on things in the engine compartment, they're referred to as 135 degree boots and some folks call them 45 degree boots. They work fine and allow you to run some custom wire looms of which there are many. If you would like to run the big block boots, its best to get the cut to fit version so you can make them look good as a few of the direct fit wires will be a bit long.
btw they also work great with headers and my borgeson
hope this helps
