Default Thinking of a 609 in my car

I was thinking of getting this crate engine what do you think? I think it will fit nicely in the compartment and it sounds cool!

I think you should get as many as will fit under the hood, incredible little engine!

Did anyone look at the price?!

$7k

For that price you could get a real 350 with a supercharger!

Hi 81,
Thanks for the link.... I wasn't sure what to expect!
Great link from the engine video to 1/4 scale Grave Digger.
I've played around with a couple of 1/8 scale models; I can only imagine how much fun building at 1/4 scale must be!
Regards,
Alan

Cost aside they are pretty cool. But you have to think without the technology we have today this build would be impossible. I don't think I have the dexterity to assemble it! It revs like a formula 1 car. And you are right something like it in a remote controlled scale car would be wicked fun. I just figured car guys could appreciate what goes into something like this.

You should also take a look at the Hayabusa V8s. They are strapping two motorcycle engines together and getting some great numbers. One company in Wisconsin is doing pretty well turning out these V8s. They are used in Ariel Atom type track cars.
