Turn Key....No Start??
OK Guys....Two new starters with heat shield, new positive/negative batt. cables, new alternator, new Delco batt. When I turn the key to start....nothing. It doesen't matter if motor is cold or hot. It's an occasional problem. I hooked up a temporary push starter button. Ignition must be on for this to work, of course. I have also disconected the aftermarket alarm ignition kill. What the H#*^ am I missing. Could this be the factory alarm coming back from the dead to haunt me? Or possibly an ignition switch problem? It's starting to annoy the sh#* out of me and it's also not a good selling point. Any help would help! L8TER, Paul.

I have a paper on adjusting the ignition switch. Go to: http://www.corvettefaq.com and look under Steering. Go to Adjust Dimmer and/or Ignition Switch.

There is an ignition relay under the center console. Mine was orange i think. It would make my car act like the ignition switch was not working.
I suppose when I would get in, from time to time I would bump the console and it would start working again. Just a thought.

Re: Turn Key....No Start?? (KENTUCKY81)
KENTUCKY, Thanks, I'll check the service manual for the relay. I think your car, electronicly speaking, may be different due to the fact of the computer for 81. I'll look into it anyway. L8TER, Paul.
