Default Clutch question

When I am running in idle, there is a ticking sound coming from under the hood. The ticking goes away when I press in the clutch. Car is a 78 and everything seems to work fine. I just want an opinion on what this problem is and can I fix it or does it need some more experienced hands?

Can you tell where exactly it is coming from? If it happens with clutch in you could put it in neutral and put the parking brake on, pop the hood and check it out.

Mine had a bunch of things vibrating at certain RPMs but it was all interior stuff and easy to identify. Loose trim bolts, etc.
