e85 with cast iron rings?
Building a 12.25 to 1 454 plan on running e85,the old buck building my motor likes cast rings,would that be ok? i read alky motors need moly rings?

If he's building the engine then he should use whatever you ask him to use. Moly rings are wonderful and if that's what you want then you tell him that's what you expect.

It's only 85% ethanol, because engines cold start much easier with some gasoline mixed in. Actually all ethanol fuel is denatured(poisoned) with 5% gasoline, before is allowed to be transported from the distillery. Not sure if the original 5% poisoning is factored into to the final 85% ratio though.
