Default Steering binding

This weekend I changed the power steering pump, control valve, ram and lines on my 76 due to multiple leaks. I used rebuilt parts because I was told new parts were backordered. I have a small leak in one fitting on the wram, I'm afraid to tighten it any more, dont want to snap it. Any suggestions? But more concerning is when I turn it all the way to the left it binds slightly on the way back for a second. It seems fine other wise. I balanced it as instructed and thet seems ok. The steering wheel is off center slightly. What could be causing the bind?

get something called a 'flare nut wrench' the correct size and snug it up
when you turn the engine off, center the steering , and re-start the engine, if the wheel moves slightly one way or the other, it needs to be adjusted a bit more, I'd bet real money it pulls the same direction that it binds
