Default Spal dual fan blowout sale!!!

We negotiated a truck load price with Spal and can offer you a huge savings on our dual fan kit SP460. Normally priced at $425, we are now offering these fan kits at $325 while supplies last.

If you are thinking of a radiator/fan combo, just pick out your model radiator add both to your shopping cart. We will mount the fans and install the switch for you and ship it as an assembly.

Yes, we set it up for both to come on but you can wire them several different ways. 12amps each fan, 2780 cfm with both running.

Tom, I'm running a 195* thermostat with my '81. Will the 195/175 switch work properly with this thermostat? Or will I need to get a 210/195 switch? If so, can I order the kit without the switch since you don't seem to carry a 210/195 switch? I don't want to put a lower thermostat in because the Computer controlled carb system works best with the 195* stat.

Thanks

24 amps both fans plus 25amps max draw from the stereo power amp.Looks like will need an alternator upgrade along with the fans. What's the best option for a bigger alternator with the least install problems?

It would not work with a 195 stat since the temperature would have to drop to 175 to ever shut off. Even your proposed 210/195 might not work because every item has tolerances and that 195 stat might be +/- 5 deg. and the switch might be +/- 5 deg. The stat need to allow the temperature to drop to the low setting or else the fans with run continuously.

I'd start out with a 180 stat and the 195/175 switch. That typically works but if you have problems with the fans running to much you can switch to the 160. The switches tend to cycle on the higher side (200/180) and if your 180 stat is 180-175 you're good.

I'll probably order it and try the 210/195 switch that Summit sells. If it doesn't work I can get a hypertech chip that works with a lower temp stat.

That's right, my answer was to the question of what we normally recommend. In your case (wanting to run hotter) I think you have the right idea. You simply need to make sure the thermostat (which controls minimum) will let you get to the switch shut off point.

It would end up being $100 off as a result of the fan sale but that won't show up on the website.

The regular price is $425, we changed the listing on the website to $325 net cost. It isn't really a discount but rather a sale price.

That's why I posted this:

"If you are thinking of a radiator/fan combo, just pick out your model radiator add both to your shopping cart. We will mount the fans and install the switch for you and ship it as an assembly. "

When you order the rad/fan combo as one part number the sale price does not show up. Christyn should fix it when running the cc but just to make sure, you should send her an email regarding your order.
