Default My wife drove the Vette to work Friday and.......

Yesterday was my birthday. The plan was, as soon as my wife got home from work we were going to the cruise in diner in Langley for supper and check out some of the cool cars that gather there on Friday nights, and then go see Spiderman  Well at about 5:30 I get a call, its my wife saying that she left the parking lamps on all day in the vette. Now I have to make the 1/2 hour drive in traffic to give her a boost. I get there, boost the car, and start putting the t-roofs on the luggage rack when I notice that the front tab that goes into the bracket is almost falling off :mad !!! The fiberglass was broken so the backing plate could pull out. I could see it happened long ago as Bubba had been in there with some silicone that had now let loose. It was 8 pm by the time I had it fixed. After a quick shower we hopped into the truck and went to the theater, had a nice supper of hot dogs and popcorn, and went in for the movie. I'm a long time Spidey fan so it was great and I got to cash in some of the bedroom favours owed to me  for the boost so alls well that ends well.

That's one thing about old cars. No warning beeper for leaving the parking lights on. At least it ended up ok. :D

 My '75 has a warning buzzer. It is located down by the fuse box. Sometimes it takes a quick tao to make it work though. :smash:

Happy birthday BTW.

Every time I see a post that starts with "My wife drove the Vette..." it's never a good story. But usually ends with bedroom favors. :D

I wish that I could make things right by performing some of those favours when I mess up, but she always seems to want something else!! :bs

I've NEVER let my wife drive my corvette. For that matter, nor my oldsmobile. Come to think of it, no one but the previous owner has ever driven my corvette! :D

I even avoid, at all costs, taking my car to a mechanic. The only exception would be a Corvette specialist ( I'lll still be watching!).

I usually will give the shirt off my back to anyone, but my cars will have to be pried from my cold dead fingers that are wrapped around the steering wheel. Even then, I'll haunt whoever takes them!

As for bedroom favors, I have to compensate in other ways! :jester
