Default 1043 felpro head gaskets for sbc

Has anybody ever used them or have knowledge about them.they are for a sbc ,very expensive $50+ dollars a piece. If you have used them ,how did you like them? I may try them ,if they are good.
Also, why do they cost so much?

Sheeeit Billy, that's nothing to a man like you! You really need something like that if you have aluminum heads so you don't dent them and then need a mmilling on the next go around.

You could ask if these work. It doesn't give the thickness or bore size.

You have to use gaskets for the head type. aluminum is soft

I sold 'Felpro gaskets and the ordinary head gasket that comes in a valve grind set is all that's necessary.....just do the job correctly....None of the engines here need them and offer no greater protection unless its one that's supercharged and over 750 hp...then with those engines they use 'copper gaskets anyway
...bank on it, waste of money

I am supercharged, i was wondering what the difference in the 1043 gaskets and regular gaskets,to be that much money difference.

Quit your whinnin'. I just paid 180 bucks for a set of 1044s. Needed the .051 crush height.

I'm used to the over-priced car parts as I live in Australia - I just grab the KY and bend over.

Bud.

First off ,no whinning here,i just want to know what the difference was ,they look the same as regular gaskets but have a higher price.I think the 1044 are close to being the same as 1043.What is the difference ,why did you buy the 1044?and not another gasket.Just trying to find out the justification in higher price.Ironcross said stainless combustion ring,is that all.

The 1044 has a thicker crush depth. I don't know the cost of production of the different types of gaskets. Sorry.

Bud.
