Wheel/Tire combo opinions

Wheels and tires are the same width as stock only with an extra .5" of BS. The lower ball joint is usually the problem on the front with wider tires and wheels. The 18" wheel puts the ball joint inside the wheel. No other issues. I have not bought mine yet but bolted on on the front and back from another vette (80) and they fit mine fine.
The ones I tried on were bought through ebay and are US Mags 18x8 similar to the Torq Thrust but with a deeper lip, more classic look. US Mags are made by MHT who also makes Foose Wheels , so they are not some off brand junk. The following ebay store sdwheelcorp will sell a complete package with wheels, tires mounted and balanced for baout $1300 and free shipping.

The tires are Federal. They have good traction and tread were ratings. I looked up reviews on them and the only consistant complain was tire noise which really dont matter on an old vette. I only use mine for weekends and occasional cruising so don't need to spend $300/tire.
Will be ordering them after the paint work is completed.

So those are the 4.5 inch backspaced "M"'s....hmmmm. That was the original look I was going for, but read so much about the 4.5 inch backspace issues I got concerned and the M is not made in a 4 inch backspace and the TT 2.1 is but is polished or chrome. Do you have any more pics of the entire side and back?
