Default T-top storage

Hey Guys,

I guess I'm feeling a little confused here. I got a new set of T-top storage bags for Christmas (yea me), and I just went out to give them a trial fit and make sure they fit behind my seats okay with my speaker panel in the rear.

So here is where the confusion sets in, my t-tops don't fit into the bags the way that I expected. Really the only way they fit in is to turn them and put them in sideways to the way I would expect them to fit. When you do that then the flap doesn't fold over. I've attached a picture of the way I expected them to fit into the bags.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
Ray

Yeah they are small. They are from Zip Corvette, part number x2561 "68 -82 Corvette T-top storage bags" according to the label on the package they came in.

rbrock,
This does seem a bit odd. Feel free to give me a call at 1-800-962-9632 ext 240. We will see what we can do.
Thank you,
Tom@Zip

I have the same issue, not sure where they came from as they came with the car when I bought it. I also have to turn them sideways to fit but they they are not at all protected. Go figure.

IF you have the luggage rack I really recommend the t-top storage brackets. I put it off for years and kick myself for doing so... Taking up room in the car for tops and not leaving room for "stuff" or strapping it on the racks all that time.

Okay,

I've talked with Tom from Zip and they appear to have been manufactured incorrectly. He is sending me another set out once they have been verified to be correct.

Tom was very gracious and helpful, all parts suppliers should be more like this. Thanks Tom.

I've looked at putting the luggage rack on but can't bring myself to do it yet. Maybe someday.

Thanks,
Ray
