Default ARAO Engineering from Chatsworth CA., good or bad ?

Hi

A friend ( who does not speak English ) has made a deal with

ARAO Engineering
21400 Lassen St. 'G'
Chatsworth CA. 91311
http://www.araoengineering.com/

for LSX heads, Stage BIII .

He wired nearly 8000 USD over and hasn't received anything from them.
He claims that he can not reach them anymore by no means.

Is this company a reputable one or are they may be known for this ?
What other means would he have to reach them ?

Brgds. Günther

Doesn't look good. And although a lot of misinformation is spread on the internet, the pattern pattern described in the link below with international customers seems to fit the description of your friend's issue.

Give them a call. Somebody here on the forum must live near them. In years past ARAO used to show up at races promoting there heads. I was interested in the past, but near jumped on them

Hi

Uuhh, that looks bad. Seems to be normal for them not do deliver or at least to delay delivery up to years !

Too bad my friend didn't check this up before he paid .

He had people calling up ( remember, he doesn't speak English ) , but without any results.

What other legal possibilities does he have acting from Germany to get the heads or his money back ?

Drove by there at 8:45 am and there where not open yet. The lady next door that runs a machenic shop said russ opens at 9:00 but I cound'nt wait. She was kind of giving me the stare down. The shop has two large garage doors that where closed, Co. sign above looks clean, there's a early 70's drag racing car out side his door with very nice custom paint paint with his co. logo / sign on it. It looks likes his in business. I will stop by again later in between window tinting jobs, Mesh, Could use more info on your friend. So i can ask specific questions.

It is amazing to me that this clown has been around and continued to pull this kind of crap for as long as he has. Shame also on the numerous car magazines that have promoted his products over the years with out giving their readers any indication of what a truly flaky and dishonest guy Russell Arao so obviously is....

Hi

Here what I wrote to them yesterday.
My friends name is Martin Grascht and he lives in Berlin , Germany.

Quote:

Hello Russ

I am writing this for my friend because he doesn't speak any English.

He claims having made an order for a couple of heads and has paid for long time ago.

Unfortunately, he did not receive anything yet and asked me to check in the US Corvetteforum if your
Company is known for this practice.

This I did and I got very fast some replies that do not look promising.

I personally have done many deals with US Companies and also US private people and never had
any issue yet. This makes me believe that something must have gone wrong with this order and
that this should be resolved in the interest of both parties.

Here you can see my thread in the Forum:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...od-or-bad.html

It is still easy going contradictory to some other Forum threads I read !

Pls be so kind and try to resolve the issue with my friend , make him a Christmas present either way.

Here your conversation with him, I am sure you know or remember :

Martin,

Looking over my notes, you already have 590HP. You definitely need the Stage III heads
For the LSX heads, Stage BIII the cost of the kit is $7500.00
The shipping is $400.00

TOTAL COST $7900.00

I think what you mean by your question is the bank charge being a wire.
Here is the information for a bank wire.

Bank of America
21001 Devonshire St.
Chatsworth CA. 91311
ph (818) 678-2732

ARAO Engineering
21400 Lassen St. 'G'
Chatsworth CA. 91311
e-mail: info@araoengineering.com
ph (818) 709-4781
fax (818) 709-4788

We need the exact shipping address where the heads will be going. Also your contact information.
Customs will contact you when the shipment arrives.

Russ

Wbrgds. Gunther , who likes your product , great idea.

Live down the street from them they have been around a long time

Bet he is at PRI. Maybe not post his account # on the web?

Unless he had your heads "done' in stock they may take awhile to make.

Hi

Problem is that they do not reply to any mail nor do they seem to pick up the phone.

Impossible to get in contact with them.

I would really appreciate it if one could pass by and relate some greeting from us over here in Europe and ask kindly when the heads from Mr. Martin Graascht from Berlin, Germany will be shipped.
He payed for LSX heads, Stage BIII the cost of the kit is $7500.00
The shipping is $400.00, TOTAL $7900.00

Thanks a lot & brgds. Günther

Their product with multivalve heads looks outstanding and it would be a pity if bad mouth propaganda destois
their Europe market. We all know how it is, you may sell 100 good products and 1 bad one. What is the 1st think
one will see ?

I've been calling this number and it appears that they use it as a screening device. Because all I ask about was some order information and please call me back. Well they have not called back.

I also sent a fax

Hi

This is exactly the experience we have as well. No way to be able to contact them.
A personal visit is our hope to get some info about the delayed shipping.

Rgds. Günther
