I'm working on getting more pics posted. If I had access to the proper tooling I would definitely stamp the block! Thanks for the words and the "old" pics.

If I can only match your ET's I will be ecstatic!! Thanks.

HELL Steve, your car has 9 sec potential EASY with that power..... As long as you can keep the transmission and rear end in it... I think you could leave relatively easy on it and just MPH your way into the high 9s.... I bet a high 1.50 60' and 140 mph trap will get you 9s....

No doubt you will have an awesome drivetrain behind that engine..... Everything you build is flat bad ***..... I remember 5 years ago PMing you about the stock appearing 383 with manifolds you were running 12.0s with... I loved the theme of your build back then...Now you just have the big block version of it...

I can't wait to see it run at the strip....

Alan, I have an extreme problem up in this area. There are two dragstrips in driving distance and they are both extreme rule enforcers.

Both tracks are 1/4 mile. If you don't have a roll bar and want to keep your car over the 11.50 second cutoff by running it hard for an 1/8th mile, they will convert your time to a 1/4 mile and kick you out if you run too quick.

My thought is to practice some 60' times and when I am comfortable, make a full blast. But, as we all know, your times get better with seat time. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get any with this deal.

Thanks for your insight.

I have to do EXACTLY the same thing.... I can only make 1 full pass per night at the strip... I will run 4-5 1/8th passes and jump on the brakes hard....Once I get the front half assed dialed in, I make ONE full hero pass and hope its a good one...

My last time out I ran 4- 6.70s in a row... So I decide to let it fly and go the full 1/4....Well THAT just happens to be the pass it spins a bit on and hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift.... That was my full 1/4 pass....10.70... with only a 6.88 1/8... That "should" have been a 10.50 something.... unfortunately it was my walking papers. Sux but....that is the way it is... I don't want to put a cage or other safety crap in it so....It will just be a one hit wonder every time I take it to the strip...therfore it will never properly get tuned/dialed in..

It is what it is..

Your car still made phenominal power (200+rwhp over mine) and will be an awesome street car no doubt.... You need to get some good drag radials on that thing before you start to play too much...

Your car reminds me a lot of ML67's 67' coupe.... It was a bad boy too....

Both of your cars are incredible! You are extremely talented. I am blown away by both cars.
The "stock" look of the red car "hiding" 671.05 rwhp is nothing short of amazing.
Very well done!

Thanks for the generous compliments. It means alot coming from you. Remember, you have told me in the past that you are an NCRS type of guy. In my own way, I'm just trying to keep up!

Wow! VERY impressive and interesting. Your 540 is quite similiar to mine except I've an HP1000 on a Strip dominator. I haven't had it dyno'd, but I HOPE it's within 100 hp of yours!

Just hired a kid from Puyallup. Small world.

Hey thanks! I absolutely love putting my cars on the DynoJet and I am sure you do as well. To me, it's extremely exhilarating. Especially when you are making changes - you can see immediately what the differences are.

The interesting thing about Puyallup is listening to people trying to pronounce it.

Two questions please:
1) Who rebuilt your carbs?
2) What fuel pump are you using? I saw the photo.

Thanks
Hal
