Need to get insurance for the Vette, Who or where do you insure your Vette with...
I am in the process of changing insurance carriers. I am looking to insure just the Vette, maybe under the classic rate........Any ideas will be appreciated....

Hagerty..............unlimited pleasure driving , must have other primary car, no one under 25 drives vette, no driving to work......but low low $$$$, you set the value of your Vette,,,,,works for me :) :flag

state farm $622 a year full coverage replacement value set at $14000.

American Family - $540 - 600 per year, unlimited mileage, drive anywhere, anytime.

State Farm Insurance. Classic car policy with an agreed value of $15,000.00. It is very cheap at $144.00 per year, but you cannot drive to work, must be stored in a climate controlled and locked garage, and you cannot drive over 1,000 miles per year.
Love the price but hate the mileage limit!!!!

I have no choice really, we have government insurance in the province I live in (in Canada). A friend paid $890 for six months worth of plates on his 2001 Z06 today.

Hagerty. If you qualify, you simply can't beat their insurance or the price.

I recently changed from Hagerty to Parish Heacock (a division of Great American). They do have the 3k limit but that doesn't bother me because I spread it around.
I found out after the fact that the Hagerty, a good deal at the time, only had a $60k liability limit and was not included under my umbrella policy. I now have 250/500 and covered all around.
78 Vette - $15k agreed
34 Ford - $15k agreed (to be increased when completed)
96 Vette - $27k agreed
Total for all three for the year - $921 in NY State.
They even took the pics off my web site instead of having to send in all new pics.

I use USAA regular insurance. IMy wife occasionally drives the car to work, and I want it insured when she does. It would not be withh collector insurance!
