quick blinkers Help
Hey guys,
I have gotten so much GREAT information on this site. The blinkers on my 78 work but have started flashing erratically and fast...far removed from the "on, off, on, off" mode. I can live with it but I would like to fix it. Any ideas? I have changed the light flasher.

Mark,
Thanks for the reply. I cant remember if I have changed all the bulbs or not. However, every blinker/bulb is flashing...just fast. No bulbs are out.

Flasher blinking fast is a indication of high resistance. Slow or no flash is low or open resistance .
Check for bulb installed incorrectly, wrong bulb installed, wrong flasher installed. short to ground in circuit.

High resistence was my problem (I think). The terminals into the flash unit were slightly corroded & caused quick flashing or none at all. I cleaned the terminals on both the wire end & flasher unit. It started working fine after that.
Hope this helps.

One light flasher is on the circuit breaker panel and the other is on a line inside the center console....is this correct? But I do not know which is which.
