Reverse Light Switch Rod
So this is my rod. Is this how your rod looks also?
My problem is that the reverse lights are ALWAYS on. I can move the switch with the rod disconnected and the lights go off. When shifted from reverse to neutral or vice versa, it is not throwing the switch. I thought maybe my 4 speed linkage needed adjustment. So what I did was disconnect the reverse rod from the transmission and manually moved the transmission into reverse with the rod disconnected. It did not throw the switch. So that tells me that my transmission linkage should be fine right? SO WHAT IS WRONG?! I'm really hoping my rod is messed up or something. I'm getting desperate!
Help.

This is from a '68, I would think they would be the same for all 4spd's but I'm not sure.
It looks as though the bend isn't in the same spot and the length might be different?

Thank you for the awesome picture.... But WTF?! Mine is almost 5 inches long! Yours is 3 inches, I'm not sure it'll even fit!, but I guess it has to. I hope that this is the issue, I really do, because it's such a simple fix. I'm going to try and find that rod you have online and do some research.
Any tips/suggestions from others is MUCH appreciated!

I really appreciate your help. The one on Ecklers is exactly the same as mine. It states it's for a 68-74. But then again the one on Wilcox is different and it states 68-81. Might as well try the different one, soooo I ordered it from Wilcox. I would still like to see under you car if you get the chance.
