Default I've done some cool things in my life, but THAT was the coolest

I have my 17 year old nephew down visiting from Syracuse, NY. He has his learners permit and has been leaning the way of rice over the past few years because all his friends and people he knows have ricers. However, today I let him drive my Vette and he said, "I've done some cool things in my life, but THAT was the coolest" He is now ANTI-rice!!! :D He even had his Grandpa video him with his digital camera, so that he could have proof that he drove it to show his friends. When I started the car up to leave, he said "Ahhhh. American V8 muscle". Very  . Another child at risk saved :D

I got hooked on american muscle when my older friend bought a 78 transam with a 455 BB in it. The first time i rode in it he punched it and the rear end turned sideways, and i was hooked just like that.

hell yes. i never needed saving. i have wanted a vette for years, right after i got a ride in a 69. it was my dream car. well, my parents pay my housing and food, and i make good money, so i figured if i wanted to be able to get one of these now is the time while i can afford it. plus i wanted to drive one to my high school graduation. so i went out and bought the best one i could find, and i am partial to the bubble back cars, and i wanted a carb, so that narrows it down to 78-79 (80? dont know if it had a carb) well i favor the straight 1 color paint on the 79 cars.i still think the 78's are nice, but not the car for me. so that makes it a 79. god am i picky. well i was blessed with the 79 L-82, i still cant believe i own a vette. and i am 17. and i have never been happier...living up every high-schooler's dream, driving a "vintage" performance car. everyone turns and looks when you pass. all the girls wave. the fellow vette owners wave. everyone waves. god i love these cars. you did a great thing for your relative. this car was a godsend for me (i hope). very cool of you.

The kid will remember that his entire life. Good job. My son asked if he could take the vette out the other day. Not sure what to do. L8TER, Paul.

Good work man. Whats up with these kids and thier ricers these days anyway? Where did we go wrong? I guess they just dont get it. Look at the other side of coin though. That leaves more classic american muscle for "us" to choose from.

This will blow yur mind. The kid across the street from me inherited from his parents a Toyota Camry wagon. Since he's had it he has added window tinting, a fart can muffler and lowered it to the ground. When he gunned it up the road the other day, I swear I heard the whine of a turbo. would this be a ricer/sleeper? The only question I would have for him would be....Huh? :U

Congatulations A job well done too many of our young are sucked into the"EVIL CULT OF RICE" . Oh sure it starts out innocently enough with a "well meaning" parent saying hey Billy I'll buy you a car to get to highschool (names have been changed to protect the innocent) but it has to get good gas mileage and Hondas get good mileage! And so it starts soon his "cult friends " have more influence over him than mom,dad apple pie and old glory. first it's a typeR sticker then a fart can next window tint ,and before you know it wheels and body mods. Unsuspecting parents everywhere fall for this end around play and before they know it it's too late
Here are some waring signs:
Import car mags ....if you find them burn them
Uses "street talk" like VTEC, TYPE R , MUGENsic ....etc
Would rather watch formula1 than NASCAR or Drag racing
Likes sushi over cheese burgers
Rolls his eyes when you talk about 427 Vettes, Hemi Cudas, Boss Mustangs etc.
Thinks a 16 second Honda is a fast car
Thinks pushrods are akin to wooden wagon wheels

The list goes on but you get the picture childern are our future don't let them slip trough the cracks.

SAVE A CHILD TODAY GIVE THEM A RIDE IN A CORVETTE

It should be all of our New Years resolution, "Save at least one Ricer from a lifetime of slowness."

Kids all think that Corvettes are SO expensive. I have less into my car than most ricers spend on theirs, and I'm only 4 seconds quicker than them.

Good job. :smash:
