Goodyears or firehawks??
Now that the GOODYEAR EAGLES have been canceled in the 15" size I need to buy some tires quickly. When I read reviews the GOODYEARS only get 20000 miles, suck in the rain and have some noise and a harsh ride. The FIRESTONES get twice the mileage good traction even wet. Has anyone got actual experience in the rain w/ these two tires and tell me about your opinions please!!!

I have the Firestone's only problem I have is the name Firehawk. I wished they just said Firestone SS If I was to buy again, I would definatly buy the BFG. Al

Sorry, but the Firehawks just don't look right. I was so upset at the looks I had the tires swapped to put the lettering inside. My next set is definatly BFG Al

JETZON Revenger GT P245/60R15 100T on my 71 roadster with OE wheels ... RWL & Non-directional tread looks RIGHT on mine!
very pleased with ride, handling, wear, traction, noise, wet, dry etc. 440AB. Mine made in USA by Cooper. Compare directly to Cooper Cobra Radial G/T. Mine came from local "Farm Bureau" about 2 years ago ... $75 each total carryout ... walmart installed lifetime balance $10 each ... about 8 FB offices throughout Connecticut ... call em.

Sounds like Firestone should put Firestone on their tires!

There aren't a lot of options these days for 15" rims. Looking at some myself, I found a couple others that aren't mentioned here. The Mickey Thompson sportsman S/T and for a more modern look the Maxxis Maraurder MA-S1 is unidirectional tire that is H rated.

I don't want 17or18" till I absolutely have to, I like the stock wheels!
