Mike, these guys are putting out quality pieces, I don't want to answer your question but I have always found that raised port doesn't really make too much of a difference.

Lets say .300" raised port for example, the V8 makes this number smaller because you are going at an angle not straight up, like less 1/4". I actually bought a set of Hooker Sidepipes with my .300" raised port Vic Jrs and they fit fine, just that they were painted black and I decided I didn't like that

I have their undercar headers and they are something to look at

Definitely interested in these. Do the side pipes mount the same way as the hookers? Once I sell my chrome ones I will be getting a set

Yes, with a t-bolt in the frame. Although you wont have to do any rocker trimming with these.

I really want side pipes, but also want to keep my hearing at high way speed... I was settled on the Hooker set w/ STS baffles untill I saw these!!!

If these are to loud, could I/What would it take to remove the glasspacks and use the STS baffles?

Thanks!!

the baffles are not loud while crusing. The STS are louder but man do they sound good! the baffles that come in our side pipes can be removed and the STS installed.

One other question. What is the shine like on these. I show my car and would like them to shine good. I have heard that 321 stainless is hard to polish and not as shiny.

Just got my XS-Power sidepipes and they look great. Josh was very helpful and knows Corvettes. Can't wait to get them on but have to wait for warmer weather.

CUSTOM,
Are you building these yourself? Reason I'm asking is I'd like a set, but would like them to fit under the stock covers and these don't look like they will. Might not even need S/S for my app. I also have a steeroids setup; any issues with that? I'm eyeball deep in a '69 S/B body off right now so I'll volunteer to be you testbed if that's a product you might want to develop...

Just sent an email about the pipes. Buying the yearone crate engine and not sure what heads it has but need to make sure that they will fit that. I believe that it has straight plugs but not positive. Maybe someone here will know.

If it fits, then put me down for a pair. I'll make arrangements for payment as soon as I hear from you.

Pipes Ordered... Can't WAIT!!!

I'm considering either a performance rebuild of my block or the yearone crate... that would be good to know..

That was my question. Im showing my car as well and currently have chrome hookers. I am selling them cause I rubbed the drivers side on a curb. I was going to buy these but heard 321 stainless doesn't shine easily. Makes me nervous. More input would be appreciated

Looks as shiny as Chrome, these are the 1 7/8" primary undercar version of 321 Stainless Steel small block headers they sell

This is how they will look at the motor
