Hi history fans:
doing article on Corvettes and realized right on deadline don't have picture of a ZL-1 Corvette.

Did you photograph one at one of the conventions or at Bloomington? I believe there is a yellow coupe with an odd black stripe around the nose and a white roadster.

Let me know if you have a photo you took, if it's a slide or color print and if you have the capability to do a 300 dpi scan of it. You will be paid for its use and receive a photo credit line as well.

I know some Corvette shop owns one of the ZL-1's but forgot which one.

Also need a historical shot of a clay model that no longer exists-- the 4-seater Corvette prototype built in '62. There is a fine side shot of it in Consumer Guide book on Corvette by Langworth but anybody have an original glossie?

check rodgers corvettes he has one he is in florida around the orlando area there are pics on his web page not sure of the address it is the yellow one with the black stripe i've seen it nice car :cool: hope this helps jim

Wrote Rogers just now. On the net somewhere there is pictures of an orange ZL-1 with a fat blue stripe (bout 2 ft. wide) up the hood with a Gulf Oil decal in the center. I wonder if this is one of the "other"ZL-1's besides the white one and the yellow Roger owns.

That is the claimed *other* ZL-1. It is a beauty but no documentation exists to support its authenticity.

Saw the pictures of the yellow one on the forum, including Roger's own, but those were pulled off the net. Need to find someone who went to Rogers and took a good picture of the yellow ZL-1 (or better yet shot it when it was outside at some event).

Still hopin'.....

Also did anyone our there in Forumland ever shoot a good color slide or print of the Two Rotor Corvette? Lost my pics long ago but drove it, will tell the story in a future installment.Also still trying to find what the present british owner paid for it, as a matter of record. (I ain't the IRS)
