Any one happen to know for sure what size of flex plate a 78 L48 would have from the factory? Going to be swapping my trany out and want to make sure I have all the right parts ready to go before I pull the old trany. Seems to me it should be a 168 but not sure. I looked at the starter and the two mounting blots are staggered, not in-line. I thought I red on hear some were that that was how to tell if you had a 168 tooth count flex plate. But I can't seem to find that post now. Thanks for any help!!
