Default Found Possible Reason For No Hot Air In Re-Vacuum Hosed C3

Hi All that has contributed to my mess.
I just ripped out all of the anti freeze hoses and replaced them. I also added new Anti-freeze and the car just runs great. This is the first time that an anti freeze change with hoses, I was able to actually feel.
Now the possible culprit!!!!
On one of the heater hoses, the one that is 3/4 and goes from the intake manifold to a vacuum control and then to the heater core I think is the culprit.
When I removed this hose, I found that the line from the control to the heater core had a brown like snake inside the length of the hose and to the core. I pressure cleaned out the line inside of the core and the vacuum control.
I now have a non connected vacuum line on top of this heater vacuum control. Does anyone have a clue as to where this vacuum line goes? I (my common sense) think that this controls the hot water to the heater core and it's why I am not getting hot air to the inside of the car. Can I be right?

Thanks

That is the heater shut-off valve. [And I think I tried to steer you there in your previous thread.] The small vacuum [signal] line running to the top of that valve comes from the heater control unit in the interior of the car. If the valve could not be turned ON (because the signal line was plugged up), that's why you had heat when you didn't want it.

I had to pull out the original back mount for the hoses as the replacement vacuum hoses from Willcox were larger than the adapter plate. The hoses do mount on to the replacement switch that I bought. I now have 5 open vacuums and the diagram only has 4 lines that attach. I want to block one up but I was wondering if I could attach the loose hose for the heat control to it. I really dread having to remove the whole dash again.
Any thoughts?

Thanks
Jack

I need to test it as I need to buy a few things from Willcox before the 31st. I want to check all of my vacuum switches.
Thanks for the diagrams, the 1st one is a winner, especially in color.

The Water Shut off valve is located on top the inner heater box!
