Default 1969 327 block #3956618 / Will 3.75 Crank Work?

I have a 327 that I pulled out of a 1969 impala casting no. 3956618. I would like to use it to build a 383 stroker for my bracket racer vega. I know there are mild clearance issues when using a 350 block and since the 327 used a shorter stroke than a 350 is there more material that will need to be removed or are they identical internally. Any and all info. welcome. Thanks.. cruz 86

Yes, they are identical. I started today installing my 383 stroker with casting no. 3956618 that also came from a 1969 Impala 327

You should find someone with a 69 Z/28 Camaro if the block is STD bore they will pay big $$$ for a "618" casting block to build a 302.

The block is standard bore and the bores are in excellent condition.

I would think even in this market you could get $500-600 for that block. The late model roller cam blocks can be had for $200 where I live. Look at the casting date on the RH side of the rear bellhousing flange for the date code any 69 date code is worth some $$ to a Z/28 guy. Then you have to put it on Flea Bay and suffer though the auction.
