Well I rotate a lot. But when I think of cruising music Beach Boys have to be up there. Nothing wrong with The Who (Quadraphenia) or Led Zeppelin (Houses of the Holy or Zeppelin 2). And let me add Keith Richards, Before They Make Me Run.
I saw someone mention Deep Purple but I did not see anyone bring up this classic, Highway Star. Here are the lyrics:

Wow! Some great posts on this topic I started. Until now, I've kept my own fav's silent, just to see if they were fav's of other C3'ers. Amazingly, (or perhaps not) many are. Take the last post, for example. HIGHWAY STAR!! Yeah.... that's the number one speed freak song in my books... even better than Radar Love. I also like a lot of Van Halen (pre-Hagar of course).. esp. Running With the Devil, Hot for Teacher and of course.. BBBBBottoms up!

I guess because Im a truck driver and I fell in love with Big Trucks and that big black Firebird I often find myself singin the theme song of Smocky and the Bandit :) that and StarWars were the first movies I ever went to with my parents.eccept for maby Chity Chit Bang Bang

I wasnt fast enough down here in Australia........Highway STar and just as good,the studio version of Speed King....they may be singing about non-m.p.h. speed,but it is still a great tune.......john :chevy

how about.... MAGIC CARPET RIDE! I know.. I know, the Dodge Viper uses it in their commercials, but it was really meant for Corvettes.
