yup gotta knock
driving around yesterday with my stereo up pulled over to look at a 30th anniversary SS and thats when i heard it a loud @!$ knock popped my hood to see where it was coming from i thought it was just my fan hitting the shroud until i looked a little harder and noticed it was coming from cylinder 1 drove it home and parked it woke up the morning pulled the valve cover started it and my rocker is the source of the sound so what are you guys input bent rod? broke rod? any ideas??

what do you mean "your rocker is the source of the sound"? Do you mean a rocker arm? When you say "bent rod ,broke rod" do you mean push rod or connecting rod? Assuming you mean rocker arm and push rod do you have hydraulic lifters? Again assuming push rod ,did you unscrew the nut holding down the rocker arm and carefully removed the push rod, you dont want the lifter to stick to the bottom of the push rod and fall into the valley. Then place the push rod on a flat surface to see if it is bent.
