1968 ? Baldwin Motion Phase III - replicar ! new pics !
Ok, muscle freaks, how about this idea ?!? - I'm thinking of converting
my Big Block '68 vette over to a B.M. -phase III car ! :D
It's a LeMans blue cnvt. - paint the correct striping, get a white top (or else a hardtop & paint it to match)
However, there's a glitch - where can I find a racing flip-top gas filler cap ???
Oh - yeah, my big block's not a #'s matching so I'm not hurting anything....
Chrome sidepipes (aftermarket) are a must and to get my accel. - My 3:08's are getting swapped for 3:70's ?
4:11's would be too steep for cruises (especially long Texas highways).
Whadya guys think ? ....it sounds cooler than a ZL-1 and I won't have to get an alum. 427 ! :p:

Sounds like a cool idea to me. I remember a post of a CF member getting a GT cap for another car and converting to fit a shark. Maybe create a post on this topic for further info. They are expensive. I also think I saw them for a C4 or C5 in the Mid-America catalog. At the Motion website, there is a pic of a 74 BM Motion vette on a flatbed. You can get an idea of the infamous BM phase III stripe there. http://www.motionperformance.com Good Luck, L8TER, Paul

Not more than 30 minutes ago I was looking at one of my Vette books and came across a picture of one of those cars I had not seen in a while. They are a really neat looking car, I would go for it. Very cool  :chevy

I'm buddy "B" in Dave's text. We got the aluminum fuel fillers from http://www.cobraaccessories.com
There are some pics at my site below too!

Hey, thanks buddy - I'll try to get one of those cobra caps and following the diagrams for installation. It looks tricky but definitely worth it !
Wow, guys here in town will be amazed....and your '70 looks great.

Check out the 'pic' at the top ! :D :D :D
That's my goal -
Paint scheme for my car will be a little tricky since it's a convertible.
Maybe I should get a hardtop ?

I don't know how that'd look with a convertible. Maybe you should trade cars with me.

I was the member that made the adaptor plate for the Cobra Cap to fit a C3, I have had that cap on every Corvette that I owned. It was given to me over 30 years ago by a very good friend that ownd a 67 big block AC Cobra at the time. In my signature there is a link to my Yahoo photo site where you can find the plans for the adaptor plate.

Yeah, 3:55's - got it.... <this is my first BB car> :D
...the best thing about Big Blocks ?!? - leaving people behind on the freeway ! :D
Hardtop is on the list... and my black top (see sig.) is getting replaced by a white one. Finishing touches incl. a white Hurst shift ****.
Thanks Joe for the link & template info. ---> I'll e-mail you when I start on it. :) ....oh, Baldwin Motion also provided 'slanted' back glass in the coupes for more luggage room - 'course a convt. hardtop has that, right ???
